Welcome to the TATA KOUBETTI Victor – Hotel, Bar and Restaurant
The association Sel Bien assaisonné d’Afrique (Selba Afrique) was founded in 2009 to promote tourism in Africa, Benin and especially in Boukombé. In Boukombé, we offer accommodation, food and drinks as well as a variety of cultural activities under the name of TATA Touristique KOUBETTI Victor.

Hotel
In Boukombé we operate a hotel which is built in the traditional way of the so-called Tatas. It is a very special experience to stay in this completely natural house and to see how local people live.
Bar and Restaurant
In the shadows of several huge mango trees next to the first Tata in the center of Boukombé it is a pleasure to take a rest of the day and to relax. We offer you alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and do especially recommend you juices of ginger, lemon and baobab-fruit.
In our restaurant we offer a variety of dishes. As local specialty we serve different dishes of Fonio (a special kind of millet).
Breakfast
- Porridge of Fonio with milk and honey or sugar
- Porridge of Fonio with Babobab flour and milk, and honey or sugar
- „European breakfast“: bread, margarine honey or jam, omelette of local guinea fowls
- Tea or coffee
Main dishes
There are many different dishes served in our restaurant. We do also offer a variety of vegetarian dishes. In the following, we would like to present you a selection of dishes.
- Red or white pate (special dough) of fonio with fowl, local cheese or eggs of guinea fowls
- Couscous of fonio with fowl, local cheese or eggs of guinea fowls
- Spaghetti with fowl, local cheese or eggs of guinea fowls
- Rice with fowl, local cheese or eggs of guinea fowls
- Different meat and fish dishes
Optionally we serve tomato sauce with all dishes.
Dessert
For dessert, a variety of fresh fruits are available. Depending on the season we offer you mangoes, papayas, karité, wild raisins, red and black fruits as well as néré fruits.
